CEO
Kerry-Ann Makatiani
Kerry-Ann is CEO at C&R Group, in-charge of ensuring strong relations with clients and industry stakeholders, overseeing the performance of C&R’s operations and risk profile, and guiding and implementing the strategic direction of the Company. She joined C&R in January 2010.
Prior to joining C&R she had over 15 years’ work experience gained in Jamaica, USA, South Africa and Kenya, with strong experience in strategy, project and operational management. She worked in management consulting, spanning operational management, business and strategic planning as well as project management and implementation, for over five years with PwC Consulting in Nairobi, Kenya, as well as Anderson Consulting in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Prior to that, she worked in product marketing and engineering for a telecommunication company for over seven years. Her Industry experience also includes financial services in the area of business, strategic and competitive analysis gained at Citibank N.A., New York, during her graduate studies.
Kerry-Ann holds an MBA in Finance & Management from Stern School of Business NY, USA; a post-graduate diploma in Marketing from Jamaica Institute of Management; and a BSc.in Engineering from Swarthmore College, PA, USA.
Chief Finance Officer
Purity Kairuthi
Purity Kairuthi is Financial professional with diverse experience acquired in different sectors. She currently oversees Financial and tax matters in the management of share registrar services for C&R in Kenya and East Africa.
Purity also oversees the Company’s dividend reconciliation, dividend reconciliation, Corporate Action, Human Resources, and administrative activities.
Purity joined C&R in March 2008. She holds a master’s degree in business administration (Finance) and a bachelor’s degree in arts (Economics) both from the University of Nairobi. Purity is a Certified Accountant and a Certified Secretary.
Purity has also attended various professional courses including Tax, Accounting, management of unclaimed assets and Finance building courses.
She has a wealth of experience in Accounting, Unclaimed Financial Asset management, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Business Operations and Management, Capital markets, Project Management and Risk Management among others.
Prior to joining C&R, she was the Finance & Administration Manager of Tanar Technical Consultant and there before, an auditor.

Chief Technical Officer
Muhoya Chege
Muhoya is in charge of the IT department with over 10 years’ experience in the industry from leading companies in Kenya and is responsible for the management of C&R’s IT infrastructure and data systems. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Information Technology from Strathmore University and holds a bachelor of Business information technology from the same institution, a Diploma from the Institute of the Management of Information Systems (IMIS).
He is an ISACA bronze member and is a certified information system auditor (CISA) and has passed and is awaiting certification as an information security manager (CISM) and certification in risk and information systems controls (CRISC).

Mary is the Uganda Office Manager, She has extensive experience in the share registry business having Joined C&R
Group in 2010. Mary has extensive experience in transactions actions such as IPOs, Rights Issues, Share Bonuses, take
overs and Splits. Key projects she has been involved in include and not limited to Umeme Limited Initial Public Offer
(IPO), Bonus Issues NIC Bank , Rights Issues Kenya Airways and NIC Bank. She is a Certified Public Accountant (K).
C&R Corporate Action Project experience: Cipla Quality Chemical Industries Limited – Umeme IPO, Kenya Airways
Rights Issue, NIC Rights Issue and the Centum Bond, Rea Vipingo Plantations Limited and Unga Group PLC take over
which saw efficient, and effective process flow as well as efficient management of shareholder and agent requests and
queries in relation to the transaction.
