C&R’s Value Added Services division have been developed with a wider context of assisting our clients keep abreast of Investor Relations (“IR”) trends.  Evolving trends in IR show that expanding or enhancing engagement with shareholders is a growing focus for IR departments globally.  Further, areas that will influence the IR function over the next few years include changes in shareholder structure (active vs passive investment) as well as requirements for shareholder disclosures, requirements from new regulations, among others.

Having reviewed the trends likely to shape IR focus and attention, we have developed a range of value added services, that we consider to be complementary to our share registry services.

Shareholders within listed companies are a captive audience that seldom get the attention of the Issuer other than at the obligatory Annual General Meeting. This often leaves the shareholder feeling disenfranchised and disengaged.  At C&R group we strongly believe that Shareholders not only represent a strong Investor but also a potential Customer audience well suited to increased engagement.

Engaging shareholders on corporate actions, or on requirements of new regulations, or on changes within the company becomes easier and more efficient when a wide cross section of media are used to engage shareholders – C&R’s Call Center Services provides an efficient, targeted approach to disseminating or receiving information to and from shareholders.

Through our  C&R Digital Portal, we were the first Registrar in East Africa to offer Online AGM broadcast services, thereby opening AGM participation to a wider disapora for participation.  Shareholders can register through our C&R Digital platform to attend an AGM physically in person or via a proxy, or to attend (ie log into) the online broadcast.
